This is the Kolento Legendary Secret Hunter Deck he was playing on stream. It only uses 3 secrets to synergize with Cloaked Huntress. This helps the deck keep the strength of a midrange hunter deck and not rely on dropping loads of secrets.Too many secrets are very clunky in hand and can cause you to lock your hand.
Too many secrets are very clunky in hand and can cause you to lock your hand. I like this version of the secret hunter build as it allows for more plays. People are still working on the best build, the early decks like the one Tyler Secret Hunter Deck ran a lot of secrets and are really draw dependant.
Kolento was playing this deck at high legend so it’s proven to be effective in the current META. Hunter is due another upgrade when Kindly Grandmother is released, so expect to see a lot of hunters on ladder. It might be smart to start teching against them. 🙂
If you want to know how to beat heroic Karazhan Magic Mirror this video by Asmodeus takes you through step-by-step. He does a great job of explaining his strategies and how you can finish this heroic boss.
He completes this boss with Druid. Using ramp to get an advantage in mana and dropping giants. Early tants are key to stopping some of the damage, then you can start duplicating your high-value minions.
Magic mirror uses mirror entity secrets too, so you can exploit this by dropping deathlords. It’s an interesting game plan, check out the video to see how he does it.
If you want to know how to beat heroic Karazhan Silverware Golem this video by Asmodeus takes you through step-by-step.
This heroic boss is easiest completed with a Patron Warrior deck. With all of the low attack minions that keep flooding the board, you can get some crazy Frothing Beserkers, lots of armor from Armorsmiths, and plenty or Patrons.
Here is the deck list and video. Don’t get frustrated if it takes you a few attempts, the heroic levels are set at a really high difficulty and RNG can easily turn the game against you.
This is how to get HS card Moat Lurker by defeating the third boss in The Opera, The Crone. This is wing, or week two of the adventure. It’s another fun battle and carries on the storyline, and on normal mode it’s way too easy so don’t worry.
I finished off this boss on my first attempt with a Tempo Mage deck using mostly basic minions, so it must be easy. Minions you play to the left of the unit on the board have charge, and minions on the right have taunt.
Just use big minions as taunts, and attack minions on the left to charge. Throw lots of spells at the incoming minions and you’ll be done in a few turns.
The card reads: Battlecry: Destroy a minion. Deathrattle: Resummon it.
This card removes a minion on either your side of the board, or your opponents. Then when it dies the minion returns.
So you can either use it to effectively heal one of your minions. Or destroy one of your opponents for tempo. How about using Purify on the card after destroying an enemy minion 🙂
This post takes you through how to get HS card Barnes, the Neutral Legendary minion with a pretty awesome effect that’s released as part of the One Night in Karazhan adventure.
You unlock Barnes by defeating all three bosses in The Opera, the second wing, or week two of the adventure. It’s another set of fun battles and carries on the storyline, and on normal mode it’s way too easy so don’t worry about completing it with low-cost decks.
The card reads: Battlecry: Summon a 1/1 copy of a random minion in your deck.
This is the much-anticipated legendary from the new adventure One Night in Karazhan. There has been a lot of theory crafting before it’s release, it’s probably going to be a bit of a META changer.
If you summon a 1/1 Rangaros, Archmage, Highmane, etc, you’re in for a good game.
You unlock Pompous Thespian by defeating the first boss in the Opera, Julianne. It’s another fun battle and carries on the storyline, and on normal mode it’s way too easy so don’t worry. It’s the second week of the adventure, and the second wing to open (not including the prologue).
I completed it easily with a cheap Zoolock deck. All you have to do is kill the 4/2 minion on board to destroy the immunity from Julianne. You will be able to do this with basic cards on just about any class, it’s the heroic mode that is super hard, but you don’t need to complete that for the cards.
The card reads: Taunt.
A simple neutral card. Probably more of interest to arena players than constructed.
There are lots of Tempo Mage decks now that include the new card Firelands Portal. This is the Thijs Karazhan Tempo Mage he was playing on stream today, and seeing him go past rank 100 legend with it, it’s obvious it is a really strong META deck right now.
Firelands Portal isn’t a crazy broken card, but it is strong. Thijs made room for the two Fireland Portals by taking out what would usually be Ragnaros, and Flamestrike.
This is a heavy burn Tempo Mage deck. So don’t be afraid to throw burn at your opponents face and hope to draw into more. Fighting for the board isn’t always the right thing to do, it’s something you need to evaluate in the game you’re playing.
It’s still not a really solid Tier 1 deck. So you will be relying on Yogg-Saron to do what Yogg-Saron does and save you in some games. But that’s part of the fun of this deck.
This is the Kolento N’Zoth Paladin w Ivory Knight deck he was playing on ladder and made it to <10 legend rank. This is a really strong deck with lots of synergy, it’s not easy to play if you’re a beginner but if you think through our turns you will get the hang of it.
