Both Dragon Priest and Reno Priest are strong decks and you can climb the ladder pretty fast with either. Reno smashes Dragon Priest in the mirror, and it’s a stronger control deck that can pull further away from aggro if you survive to play Reno.
There are loads of different Dragon Priest lists with different tech cards in but this list has an interesting choice – Defender of Argus.
And, this Thijs Dragon Priest w Defender of Argus went 8-0 at a recent tournament win so it’s proven. A lot of Priest lists lack that little bit of extra burst to trade up or finish an opponent, or stopping aggressive decks going face. This tech choice sorts this out.
There is also a Holy Nova instead of a Dragonfire Potion for a little extra healing and more tempo on board. It’s a really strong deck against all the other META decks, give it a go.
This is an interesting Priest list and it’s the Zetalot Gadgetzan Zoo N’Zoth Priest list that he played into legend ranks.
It’s built much like a zoo list with lots of low-cost minions and cards to help value trade and win the board.
Good to see Herald Volazj in the list, this legendary hasn’t found a good place in a Priest deck before.
Effective, and fun list, and if you curve into Ragnaros then N’Zoth there aren’t many decks that take back the board and win with tempo.
There are a lot of card draw, such as the custom spells from Kazakus, Thoughtsteal, discover mechanics, and deathrattles. It’s a fun deck, I’ve played a few games with it and had some crazy matches.
This is the Savjz Rank 1 Legend Gadgetzan Reno Priest Deck List. Reno decks have had a push from Blizzard with some of the new cards, such as Raza the Chained, and Kazakus, and watching him play this list it’s obvious this is a really strong deck.
As with all Reno decks there is some room to change cards around as the META changes or if you don’t have them, but keep as much of the Dragon synergy as you can.
