What do you do when the new Arcane Giants aren’t enough? Add Frost Giants, but what if these 4 giants aren’t enough? Add Blood Warriors and make copies of the giants to have more. That was Reynad’s thinking behind building this deck.
This takes Control Warrior and adds a lot more threats and Yogg-Saron for a last-ditch attempt at winning when all else seems lost.
This is the Kolento Control Shaman Deck w Arcane Giants he was playing on stream. As Kolento does, he has tweaked the list that is most commonly known as Concede Shaman.
The addition of Arcane Giants gives the deck even more low-cost threats. Control Shaman is a solid deck and isn’t going anywhere for a while, it has all the tools you just need to get past the shaky start against aggro.
I know there are a lot of Forsen fans out there and he does play some interesting decks. This is the Forsen Arcane Giant Karazhan Yogg Rogue Deck he’s been playing on ladder.
It takes advantege of the new Arcane Giant’s that are usually able to be played for around 0 mana, as well as the Miracle Rogue mechanic to cycle through your deck for what you want.
This is the Superjj Top 10 Legend Patron Warrior w Arcane Giant list he used to break into the top 10 legend ranks. This deck is pretty insane, there are just a few cards you really want to draw, and with all the card draw mechanics in the deck you’re going to get them.
If waves of Patron’s isn’t enough to overwhelem your opponent, the Arcane Giant with Charge probably is. It’s a fun deck, give it a go.
Some of the best and highest skilled Hearthstone games are streamed by Thijs during the day. He tends to play a different deck or two each day and this is the Thijs Giants Yogg Portal Legendary Mage Deck he was playing recently.
There have been a few Tempo Mage builds with the new Arcane Giants but I like this list best so far. It slows the game down a bit and gives you time to lower the cost of the giants and control the board.
This is the Trump Yogg Druid Deck w Arcane Giants he crafted after the new card was released. I think it’s ok to play 2 Giants if you take out a late game minion like Cenarius or Onyxia. You’re going to play them for a massively reduced cost anyway, so it’s a win-win.
It’s a fairly standard build. Different players flex a few slots switching around Ancient of War’s, adding Wisps of the Old Gods, maybe only Mire Keeper. But the end results are always very similar. Just add another Ancient of War if you’re getting run over by lots of aggro.
Arcane Giants are everywhere! This is the Trump Yogg and Load w Arcane Giants Deck. Another spell-heavy deck to make the most of the cost reduction.
The RNG is a bit heavy in this deck as you rely on recycling cheap spells into cards from the Lock and Load, but the value you get usually pays off.
With Yogg-Saron and Arcane Giants sitting behind the Call of the Wild you have more than enough damage in the deck to beat any class.
General Mulligan Strategy for Yogg and Load
Never keep Lock and Load in your opening hand, I know it’s tempting but it’s no good if you don’t enter a Lock and Load turn without much health and a few spells to cast.
Mulligan for King’s Elekk, Eaglehorn Bow if you’re on the coin, and traps to slow down aggro.
This is the Trump Control Mage Deck w Arcane Giants he put together and was playing on stream. Control mage is an archetype that’s never quite hit the mark before. Reno Mage comes close, and can play out like control, but we haven’t had a really good Control Mage since the old Grinder Mage days.
Trump has put some strog minions, some game-stalling tech’s like Frost Nova, a Cabalist’s Tome for extra draw, and of course the new card Arcane Giant’s – which you will no doubt get to play for free.
General Mulligan Strategy for Control Mage
You’re going to play a slow game so it’s ok to keep Arcane Intellect in your opening hand. Try and pick up some cheap early removal to control the board like Arcane Blast and Frostbolt. Don’t be afraid to cycle the Forgotten Torch early even if it’s overkill on a minion, the spell reduces your Arcane Giant and you get closer to the 3 mana, 6 damage Flaming Torch.
This is the RDU Karazhan Grim Patron w Arcane Giant deck he’s been playing on stream. The first time I saw Patron with Arcane Giants was Senfglas just after the release of these new cards. It turns out this is a really strong deck, who would have thought it huh – 0 mana cost 8/8 Giants!
General Grim Patron Mulligan Strategy
Mulligan for the Fiery War Axe (which shouldn’t be a problem, ha), Blood to Ichor, and whatever card draw pieces you can find. You will need to cycle hard early on to start putting together the cards you need to pull of a Patron turn.
This is the EK0P Yogg Druid w Arcane Giants he was using to climb the ladder on stream.
Yogg Druid is all over the ladder and there is lots of flexibility around a few of the cards. I think 2 x Arcane Giants can be a little too clunky. If you find you keep getting stuck with two in your hand that’s hard to play, switch one for another Nourish.
General Mulligan Guide for Yogg Druid with Arcane Gaints
You follow the general Druid mulligan strategy of keeping ramp and removal. If you can take the lead in mana it’s going to be easier to overwhelm your opponents.
You can keep Mire Keeper if you’re on the coin and have removal. But Wild Growth is more preferable, and Innervates are an obvious choice.
