Fr0zen PAX One Nation of Gamers Midrange Hunter Deck

Anyone following the Hearthstone tournament scene will know that
Fr0zen PAX One Nation of Gamers Midrange Hunter DeckFr0zen
won the PAX West tournament held on the 2-3 September, 2016.

This tourney was a pretty big deal and most of the best Hearthstone Pro’s were there. So, to win it was pretty damn awesome, and I thought I’d look at the decks he used.

He turned up with 5 of the strongest META decks, and although sometimes tournament decks are sometimes teched to deal with certain classes, his decks are pretty standard strong ladder decks. He used:

Malygos Druid

Dragon Warrior

Aggro Shaman

Miracle Rogue

Midrange Hunter

Midrange Hunter is an easy to play deck with a lot of favorable matchups, I always take Hunter to tournaments because the burn damage and SMOrc’ing potential is going to steal wins against slower decks.

This is the Questing Adventurer Mircle Rogue that is more effective than the standard Miracle Rogue list in my opinion. Barnes is a good inclusion in this deck and there is a number of targets that will give you a tempo boost on turn 4.

This is a pretty standard aggro Shaman list, we have all been terrorized by aggro Shamans for a few seasons now. It’s a great tournament deck and has some matchups that are really favorable, you will tear through Druids with a slow start, Hunters, and do well against Dragon Warriors.

Fr0zen PAX One Nation of Gamers Dragon Warrior Deck

Dragon Warrior is still a really strong deck and the recent new cards from Karazhan only made it stronger. This is always a good choice as a tournament deck, but don’t be surprised if it’s banned in formats that allow one ban. If you curve out well there aren’t many classes that can stop the pain.

This is the Malygos Druid deck he brought. A deck he has taken to legend a lot of other players have been using on ladder. It’s a strong all around deck and doesn’t have too many bad matchups.

Frodan Bogchamp Concede Shaman Deck

So you probably saw Frodan go 6-0 in the opening two Frodan Bogchamp Concede Shaman Deckmatches in the  SeatStory Cup V tournament. This is the Frodan Bogchamp Concede Shaman Deck that he used.

It’s called a ‘Concede Shaman’ because it forces opponents to concede due to volume of high-value cards that are difficult to kill off. Leading your opponent to rage quit when they see a Bog Creeper with Ancestral Spirit, or after you play an Elemental Destruction with Hallazeal the Ascended on board to perform a full heal.

The deck has loads of heals and taunts. You do have to manage your overload carefully and think through future turns, so it can be tricky to play at first. But it’s an incredibly powerful deck on both ladder and in tournaments.
