The Best Rogue Deck January 2017 Season 34? Questing Adventurer Rogue is a top-tier deck and a good choice for a fast ladder climb.
There are always loads of aggro decks trying to race up the ladder at the beginning of the month. Miracle Rogue does well against these match ups. Save your spell power + Fan of Knives to clear the board, build up a big Questing and VanCleef, Conceal them and it’s GG.
If you want to play the best Rogue list on ladder this month then check out this Malygos Rogue Season 32 Nov 2016.
Malygos is more popular than Miracle Rogue lists at the moment as the OTK potential is effective against all the aggro decks on ladder that do not heal much.
Play out this list by using removal to keep your opponents minions off the board while trying to have your minions stick. Cycle your deck and work towards Malygos + damage!
Kolento is one of my favorite pro players and one of the best deck builders
in Hearthstone. This is the Kolento High Legend Burgle Rogue Deck he was playing on stream this week and gave me some tech ideas how to change my list.
Burgle Rogue decks became a ‘thing’ when Ethereal Peddler was released in the last wing from One Night in Karazhan. The MrYagut build was quick to hit high legend, Thijs made a good N’Zoth list and other pro players have similar list that have done well.
Lowering the cost of cards you’ve stolen from your opponents class makes even rubbish cards worth playing most of the time. The good cards you steal and really good when they are cheaper.
With a bit of luck on the steals you can cheat the mana curve, play some good minions early, and gain a tempo swing. The 5/6 body on the Peddler is pretty good too. It’s an awesome card, and this deck can hang at the top legend ranks.
This is the Mryagut High Legend Burgle Rogue Deck he was playing on stream in the top 5 legend ranks. Any deck that can win that high on the ladder is pretty good, and although there is a load of RNG in this deck it seems to find some consistency.
The random cards from your opponent’s class can throw anything at you, and that’s the main criticism of the deck. But when you’re lowering their cost by 2 even average cards become pretty good.
Any cards that allow you to ‘cheat’ mana in Hearthstone have proven to be pretty good. Just look at Mysterious Challenger, Druid ramp decks, renounce darkness decks (ok maybe not renounce darkness decks).
Give this list a go and see how you get on.
Trump has been hard at work building decks with cards from the last wing in the adventure One Night in Karazhan. This is the Trump Burgle Rogue Deck w Ethereal Peddler he was using on stream.
You steal your opponent’s class cards by using Swashburglar, Undercity Huckster, and Burgle. Then play Ethereal Peddler to reduce all the other class cards by 2 mana.
This is usually enough to have a huge tempo swing turn. You will often have cards reduced to 0 mana and will even pick up some synergy. The most annoying part for your opponent is that they can’t play around what they don’t know is coming. 🙂
This is the Kibler Ethereal Peddler Rogue Deck he was playing on stream. It’s interesting to see all the pro players building decks with the new cards and a lot of them have been making Rogue decks because Ethereal Peddler is incredibly fun.
I’ve seen some crazy games. being able to steal your opponents cards, then play them for less mana than they can is making for some crazy games. Give this deck and try and you will see what I mean.
This is the MrYagut Burgle Rogue Deck w Ethereal Peddler he as playing on stream. The burgle decks seem to be really strong with the addition of Ethereal Peddler. Most cards that manipulate mana find their way into competitive decks and it looks like that will be the case for this new card.
This is the Neviilz Dragon Murloc Rogue Deck w The Curator he was playing on stream. As you’d expect with a Neviilz deck, there are some interesting card choices in this deck.
This deck has all of the Mill Rogue mechanics to mill your opponents out. The Curator helps you draw those Coldlight Oracles. The main reason Mill Rogue loses is when you don’t draw these early enough. You still have to wait until turn 7 to play The Curator but at least it’s a guaranteed draw with a Taunt at that point.
It’s a fun deck to play, give it a try and see how you get on.
Malygos Rogue has always been a deck on the fringe of top tier play. With the addition of Barnes it’s strengthened up a little, you have some extra early tempo potential and of course the chance for a 1/1 Malygos as early as turn 4.
Something I see some people overlooking is Shadow Strike. Don’t forget that this card can go face if you’re opponent is at full health. With Malygos on board you’re looking at the following burst damage:
Shadow Strike – 10 damage
Sinister Strike – 8 damage
Eviscerate – 9 damage
This is the MrYagut Rogue w Arcane Giants Deck he was playing on stream. MrYagut is one of the best Rogue players and always comes up with new and interesting builds.
Arcane Giants are an obvious choice in any spell heavy decks. With one of the best tempo cards in the game – Sap, you can turn a game around even harder than ever by dropping an Arcane Giant off the back of it.
